It was an honour to be shortlisted among a host of impressive businesses at the 4th annual Business Networking Awards held at Drayton Manor last weekend.
Congratulations to the organisers of the event. It was a real celebration of the innovation, passion and creativity that powers the business community. Everyone who starts their own business deserves credit for building something for themselves and their families and also for the money they put into other independent businesses and the local economy.
Many of the 12 winners on the night paid tribute in their acceptance speeches to the way their businesses had grown due to the support they received at networking groups in the Lichfield, Tamworth and Sutton Coldfield area.
Connect Networking and Angels In Business that I was nominated in three categories at the Business Networking Awards, and shortlisted by the judging panel for two of them.
I was so proud when Caittom Publishing was announced as the winner of the Business to Business (Business of the Year) category. I was also runner-up and highly commended in the Extra Mile Award to Jo Bailey from Midlands Air Ambulance - which is a huge honour.
I would like to say thank you to all the businesses I have met at networking events over the last five years. I think we learn something from every networking event we attend.
I would also like to thank all the businesses and organisations that I have worked for since 2010 - and equally all the wonderful businesses (web developers, photographers, IT support, graphic designers, print companies and more) who have worked for me.
Last, but NOT least, thanks to my husband Bill who makes it possible for me to do the job I love every day and our children Cait and Tom who are the inspiration for everything I do - including the name of my company.
